Fellow Actors, Practitioners, and Members of AGN Lagos,
My name is Ambassador Cornelius Udofia, a committed actor, Media Strategist , Public Relations Expert , Award Convener , Talent Hunter & Promoter per Excellence and passionate advocate for the growth of Nigeria’s creative industry. With humility and a deep sense of purpose, I offer myself to serve as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter which is a Pace Setter for other Chapters.
I am not seeking this office for prestige or Fame, but to become the strategic voice of our guild, one that reflects dignity, unity, visibility, and value.
WHY PUBLIC RELATIONS MATTERS:
Public perception is everything. The strength of our guild lies not only in what we do behind the scenes, but in how we are seen, heard, and represented in the public space, both within and beyond the entertainment industry. As PRO, I will be the bridge between the guild and the public, the amplifier of members’ achievements, and the protector of our collective image.
MY MISSION AS PRO
If elected, I, Amb. Cornel Udofia, will carry out my duties with excellence in the following key areas:
1. Rebrand & Reposition AGN Lagos
Project a professional, positive, and respected image of the guild in the media. Drive media campaigns that highlight the creative achievements and contributions of our members. Build AGN Lagos into a recognized and influential voice in the Nigerian Entertainment space.
2. Effective Internal and External Communication
Keep members informed through regular newsletters, social media updates, press releases, and member bulletins.
Represent the guild at press conferences, media briefings, and key industry events with clarity and diplomacy. Ensure smooth and timely communication between leadership and the general membership.
3. Promote Member Visibility
Spotlight achievements of members on screen, on stage, or behind the scenes. Use the guild’s platforms to celebrate birthdays, film premieres, awards, and milestones. Create PR support for members in distress, ensuring their challenges are addressed respectfully and responsibly.
4. Build Media Partnerships
Collaborate with TV, radio, print, and online platforms to give AGN Lagos members better exposure. Initiate media interviews, features, and promotional opportunities that elevate our brand and talents.
5. Crisis Communication & Reputation Management
Handle sensitive matters involving the guild or members with tact, speed, and professionalism.
Safeguard the reputation of AGN Lagos by responding promptly and wisely to controversies, rumors, or misinformation.
