… Embarks on Disinfection of Facilities
Lagos Water Corporation has reiterated its commitment towards sustaining potable water supply to Lagos residents.
The Managing Director/CEO of LWC, Engr. Muminu Adekunle Badmus, who stated this in a release issued on Tuesday by the Corporation, noted that Lagos residents, particularly those in Shomolu, Dolphin, Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Magodo, Itire Ikate, Mosan Okunola, Ojokoro, Akilo, Oworonshoki, Lagos Island, Mainland and Yaba/amongst, amongst have, have been commending the efforts of the Corporation for improved service delivery.
He assured Lagosians of continuous water supply across the State, especially at this critical period when water is vital to the observance of personal hygiene such as regular hand washing geared towards curbing the spread of the Coronavirus disease, assuring that the Corporation will support the government’s efforts at eradicating the pandemic from the State.
While noting that regular washing of hands with soap and clean, running water is one of the most recommended preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19, Badmus, however, urged Lagosians to conserve and use water wisely in order to reduce wastage.
Meanwhile, the LWC, through its Water Quality Assurance Department, has embarked on the disinfection of the Corporation’s headquarters, waterworks, regional business offices and other water formations in the State as a preventive strategy to curb the transmission of the deadly virus in the State.
