


AKWA IBOM LIAISON OFFICER, LIAISON OFFICE LAGOS PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO AIG FCID ANNEX LAGOS, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO STRONGER PARTNERSHIP | Blissful Affairs Online
The Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos, today, 8 September 2026, received the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Officer in Lagos, Mr. Anthony Isonguyo, mcipm, Alumnus LSB&F, who paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of the FCID Annex, Lagos, AIG Simeon U Akpanudom psc fdc mspsp MNIM FCAI.
The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen the existing relationship between the FCID Annex, Lagos, the Akwa Ibom State Government and its liaison office in Lagos.
Mr. Isonguyo, who recently assumed duty as the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Officer in Lagos, explained that the office serves as a vital link between the Akwa Ibom State Government and Akwa Ibom indigenes resident in Lagos.
He expressed delight at the AIG’s leadership of the FCID Annex, Lagos, describing the appointment as significant, particularly as AIG Akpanudom is the first Akwa Ibom indigene to head the Formation, since the establishment of the FCID Annex, Lagos.
The Liaison Officer also commended the AIG for his achievements and expressed his willingness to foster closer collaboration and mutually beneficial engagements between the Liaison Office and the FCID Annex, Lagos.
Responding, AIG Akpanudom warmly welcomed the Liaison Officer and thanked him for the courtesy visit. The AIG expressed appreciation for the gesture and acknowledged the sense of belonging and encouragement by the Government of Akwa Ibom State for his contribution to effective policing, public safety and national development.
The AIG further expressed appreciation for the positive developments recorded in Akwa Ibom State under the leadership of the His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, PhD, noting the importance of continuous collaboration among institutions and stakeholders.
As a symbolic gesture of goodwill and commitment to sustained partnership, AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom presented a commemorative plaque to the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Officer, Mr. Anthony Isonguyo. The presentation of the plaque symbolised the reaffirmation of the existing relationship and the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation, mutual support and institutional engagement.
The visit ended on a cordial note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to maintaining the existing bond and exploring further opportunities for collaboration in the interest of security, peace and the people of Akwa Ibom State.
