Hon. Sampson Idiong Hosts Nollywood Star Jim Iyke, Showcases Akwa Ibom’s Tourism Potential | Blissful Affairs Online
The Member representing Oruk Anam State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and Deputy Chief Whip AKHA, Hon. Sampson Idiong, on Saturday 4 July, hosted a renowned Nollywood actor and movie producer, Jim Iyke, who paid him a courtesy visit at his residence Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo.
During the visit, Hon. Idiong highlighted the peaceful and serene nature of Akwa Ibom State, describing it as one of Nigeria’s most attractive destinations for tourism, investment, and leisure. He commended Governor Umo Eno for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to infrastructural development, noting that the administration’s investments in tourism, hospitality, road infrastructure, and other critical sectors have continued to enhance the state’s appeal to visitors and investors.
Speaking during the visit, Jim Iyke expressed admiration for the warmth and hospitality of the people of Akwa Ibom State. He applauded the state government for creating an enabling environment that promotes tourism and economic growth and commended the quality of infrastructure in the state, particularly the airport, which he described as a world-class gateway befitting a modern tourism destination.
The Nollywood star also expressed appreciation to Hon. Sampson Idiong for the cordial relationship they have built over the years, describing him as a dependable friend and commending him for his warm hospitality and unwavering spirit of friendship.
The visit further underscored Akwa Ibom State’s growing reputation as a peaceful, investment-friendly, and tourism-driven destination while reflecting the strong bonds of friendship between the lawmaker and the celebrated actor.
