The families of Aduroja and Fapojuwo, the Nigeria Police Force and the people of Ibadan and Ilesha, Osun Stats have been thrown into great mourning following the passing of Chief Mrs. Fehintola Oluyemisi Aduroja, Fapojumo, aged 67. The revered matriarch was the mother of gallant and highly respected police officer, CSP Akinola Aduroja,
Chief Mrs. Fehintola Oluyemisi Aduroja, described by those who knew her as a virtuous woman great mother and grandmother, community leader and devout Christian, passed on recently, leaving behind a legacy of humility, and service to humanity.
She is survived by children, including CSP Akinola Aduroja, and beloved grandchildren, as well as extended family members, in-laws and associates who will greatly miss her motherly counsel and warm embrace.
According to a statement released by the family, the funeral arrangements for the late Chief Mrs. Fehintola Oluyemisi Aduroja have been scheduled to hold over three days in Ibadan and Ilesha,.
The rites will commence with a Christian Wake Keep on Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026, by 4:00 pm at her residence, No. 24, Arubiewe Road, Olodo Garage, Ibadan, Oyo State. Family, friends and sympathizers are expected to gather to celebrate her life and offer songs of praise in her honour.
This will be followed by the Funeral Service on Thursday, 24th September, 2026, by 10:00 am at Christ African Church, Kumapayi, Olodo, Ibadan. The service is expected to attract top police officers, , clergy, and members of the community.
Immediately after the church service, her remains will be committed to mother earth on the same Thursday, 24th September, 2026, at her residence, No. 2, Baraka Street, Omi Eran Tuntun, Oke Omirun, Ilesha, Osun State, where she will be laid to rest .
The final part of the funeral ceremony will be the reception and entertainment of guests on Friday, 25th September, 2026, by 12 noon, where guests will be hosted in celebration of a life well spent.
CSP Akinola Aduroja, who is widely celebrated for his gallantry and professionalism in tackling crime as Commander of the CP Tactical Team, has continued to receive messages of sympathy and solidarity from members of the public who admire his dedication to duty.
