Journalist, Publisher and Media Entrepreneur Returns to Her First Love, Acting, with a Renewed Vision for Scriptwriting, Filmmaking and Storytelling
There comes a time when passion calls so strongly that it can no longer be postponed. For Adaobi Promise Enekwa, that time is now.
Known for her work as a journalist, publisher, media entrepreneur and humanitarian advocate, Adaobi has officially become a full member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos State Chapter, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in her creative journey.
While many know her through her contributions to journalism and publishing, acting has always remained her first love. Although she appeared in a few movie productions in the past, life’s journey led her to build a successful career in media. Today, she is proudly returning to the screen with renewed purpose and determination.
“Acting has always been my first love,” Adaobi said.
“Journalism gave me a voice to inform, educate and inspire people, but acting gives me another powerful platform to tell stories that touch lives. Becoming a full member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria is a dream fulfilled and the beginning of greater things to come.”
Beyond acting, Adaobi has a deep passion for storytelling. Over the years, she has written several original movie stories, developed compelling characters and scripted projects that she hopes to bring to life on screen.
One of her biggest aspirations is to become a respected film producer, creating movies that entertain audiences while promoting positive values, preserving culture and addressing important social issues.
As the Publisher of Blissful Affairs Magazine, Publisher of Brand Empire International Journal, Publisher of Her Impact Africa Journal, and the driving force behind Oscar Bravo Productions Concept, Adaobi has consistently used the media to celebrate excellence, inspire hope and advocate for positive social change through initiatives such as the Voices of Our Society – Campaign Against Silent Killers.
Her transition into Nollywood is a natural extension of that mission. Whether through journalism, publishing or filmmaking, she believes stories have the power to shape perspectives, transform communities and leave lasting legacies.
