The ancient town of Oyo,South-West Nigeria is agog as Fuji musican, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal aka KWAM 1 has been installed as the first Mayegun of Yorubaland by his Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi(Iku Baba Yeye) .This is coming a few days after KWAM1 had thrilled guests at the 80th birthday party of Billionaire Industrialist, Chief Rasaq Akanni Okoya.
Those who stormed Oyo ; especially the Alaafin of Oyo’s Palace in honour of the legendary musician include the Elegushi of Ikateland,Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi and his dectable wife,Olori Aramide Sekinat;Akinsiku of Lagos,Chief Dosunmu;Iyaloja General, Chief Folasade Tinub-Ojo among others.Also spotted at the ocassion were Nollywood acts including, Adekola Tijani, Sanyeri, Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo, Faithia Balogun-Wiliams, Tayo Sobola, Dayo Amusa, Bolaji Amusan(Baba Latin) and a host of others as of the time of filing this report.
