Prophet Dr. Godwin Ikuru is the founder of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry. Prophet Dr. Ikuru is a very prophetic man of God who values humanity and Godly living. In this interview with Adaobi Enekwa of Blissful Affairs Magazine, Prophet Dr. Ikuru spoke about the Christendom and why Nigeria must be re-branded. Enjoy the excerpts:
Sir, you are a very popular person, but a lot of people will also need to know more about you. Can you tell us more about yourself?
Well, I am Prophet Dr. Godwin Ikuru. I am the founder of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry. It’s s prophetic house because of my prophetic ministry.
Sir, what is your opinion on the issue that a lot of pastors are not really getting it well. We don’t even know who is being called and who is not called. What is your take on this?
In what area are the people confused?
The issue is people feel that some pastors are not genuine. There are fake pastors everywhere and that genuine pastors don’t even make noise and sometimes, when they give their prophecies, they go straight to the point. So, what’s your take on this?
Well, I will say the ministry came from God. There are many men of God. Yes, I will tell you that. There are many men of God but the seers are few. It’s not the prophecy of what you see yesterday before you sleep. You know, those are not the true prophets. True prophets are those who make the impossibility, possible. That’s the way I place myself. I have given a lot of prophecies against other prophetic prophets. They will say this one cannot happen buy I have given many prophecies. During the time of Goodluck Jonathan, I said it in MITV that he is going to have challenges and it came to past. I also said it during the amnesty that as the Niger Delta is hot like this, at a time, it will become cold and it came to pass. So, many major prophecies. Just like Okpebholo, my prophecy brought him into power. Then Kogi State government, when I said it is the other one from SDP they said Muri is going to win I said no, it is Ododo.
The same Nassarawa State and Borno. Then Soludo and Sherrif. The Same thing to the new President of Ghana. I met in Liberia during the inauguration of their President and I told him frankly that you are going to be the next President of Ghana. The same thing to the President of Philippines, Marcus and even Joe Biden
I said it , will not be able to run because of his health condition. You can Google and in just two weeks, he dropped and brought in his vice, Kamala Harry.
He had a problem when he pronounced that if any of you are here for Jesus, am not here for Jesus. And that was what threw Kamala away and Americans brought in Trump, they voted for Trump massively.
I frantically told Wike that he should not choose or support Fubara that he will give him problems, I sent a lot of messages to Wike’s friend, Dan Obi and him personally. Their phones were filled with my messages. But, sadly, Wike disrespected God’s warnings and the whole world have known about the consequences.
Sir looking at the situation of this country, people are crying because of the high rise of foods and other commodities. What advice do you have for the president to solve this problem and stop Nigerians from yelling?
The president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has good intention for the nation.The challenges is that he cannot be the Minister of Finance, Minister of Petroleum, he cannot be the Minister of Agric. So, he has given these arms to different people. I have advised and I will advise again, based on your platform that Nigeria should stop using dollars. The Customs officers, DG of immigration, the Police, the Military and every other security agencies must be at alert.
Even in the Republic of Ghana, you have to change your currency to their money and that has helped the currency of Ghana to grow.
Here, Senators will pack dollars in their houses, private banks will have dollars in their house, bank chiefs will dollars, MDs of parastatals will keep dollars. They trade oil business in dollars.
Our naira is supposed to be seen on the world bank. So, any expatriate who wants to come here from France, Germany, Denmark or any part of the world, you have to first change your currency to naira from your port or airport.
Immediately, price of things will change here. The fuel too will.change because the rate we sell fuel is in dollars and that’s why it’s so high.
The challenges we are having is that most of the things we have here are imported from China. They will change it to their currency and now sell it in naira. So, Nigeria needs to respect her currency. Not the EFCC saying, you are spraying the naira anyhow or you are mutilating the naira. No matter how you spray the naira, it doesn’t bring it value down. What the government needs to do is to promote the naira. All these things that are very expensive now will normalise.
At a time, how much is the dollars to the naira
The CBN must act judiciously and proactively to ensure this happens. If the value of the naira comes down to like 250 or even below, every commodity will normalise. Why are we suffering or complaining. It’s because the dollars is so astronomically high while the naira is very low. Before, hundred dollars is about 35 thousand naira so what happened. It’s sad that today, our naira is very small to the dollars, very small to the pounds and even very small to the cedis and this is unlike before. So we need to repackage our economy.
How do you rate the Lagos State governor?
Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is the best governor in Nigeria. He has a good heart and then he respects men of God. I have watched the antecedents of so many of the governors and he is very different. He is not going to fall in into so many things because he is careful. Why do I say Sanwo Olu is the best, just few days ago, we had a traffic issue. The following day, he came around and address the issue. How many governor is current. How many governors want their states to be peaceful. He is a man whose heart is after the people and if I have the opportunity to extend his tenure, I will do it.
As the peace ambassador, youth ambassador, can you explain it for us?
The award was given to me, they came from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. So, I am now an ambassador of peace to the whole of Africa.
What’s you advice to Nigerian youths because some of them are into illegal things?
Well, the heart of the youths are very fast. They think very fast and they want to be rich very vast. For example, Peller is a very small boy. I don’t think he is up to 25 years and he has somebody he is dating now. That’s the problem of the youths when they feel that they have arrived. And some governors will associate with him. As small as Peller is, he has a girlfriend. That is a bad advice to youths of today. However, it’s sad that his father and mother refuse to advise him. Although, he is bigger than them. So, of course, the mother will be afraid of him, the father will be afraid of him just because of his money. So, we were not raised up in that way. So, Nigerian youths of today, most of them don’t take advise from their mothers. They take advice from their friends and that is the major problem we are facing. In different areas of Nigeria, they take action by themselves without asking their parents. That’s why you see a lot of crimes, because, they don’t think before they do. Those who have social media handles, Instagram, tik tok and others never promote the president of the country. They will rather destroy the image and that’s the problem. You can’t see that in America. You can’t see that in the UK, you’ll pay dearly for it. You can’t see that in Ghana, you can’t see that in Dubai, you pay dearly for it and that is the problem we are facing. They are always condemning their own and they like the foreign countries. So, Nigerian youths need to change their nation.

In politics, the best is yet to come. That’s one of the words of the late Prophet TB Joshua. The best is yet to come. Other nations of the world celebrate Nigeria. Let us pray for this nation and continue to stand for this nation. Let us love ourselves, let us respect ourselves and let us help ourselves.
