
LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND COMMEMORATES 2026 CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK WITH FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH | Blissful Affairs Online
The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, commemorated the 2026 Customer Service Week with a free medical outreach for members of the public at Computer Village, Under Bridge, Ikeja, Lagos.
The initiative was organised in compliance with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, for all Police Commands to celebrate the week. With the theme “Going Extra Miles,” the outreach demonstrated the Command’s commitment to people-oriented policing, building Police-community relations, improved service delivery, and strengthening public trust. The medical outreach provided free health screening, blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, eye checks, medical consultations, and health counselling to members of the public.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, expressed appreciation to residents, business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation in maintaining peace and security across the state.
He reiterated that effective policing required public cooperation and feedback, assuring residents that the Command remained open to constructive criticism, complaints, and suggestions on its service delivery. He noted that such feedback would help improve accountability, professionalism, and public confidence in the Police. He then reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to serving the people with dedication, courtesy, professionalism, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
