The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Although Dogara joined the PDP since 2018 when he picked the party’s form to seek re-election, he had been silent about it.

But he announced his defection during plenary on Tuesday.

Two other APC lawmakers, Ahmed Yerima and Edward Pwajok, also moved from the APC to the PDP.

Yerima is representing Misau/Damdam constituency in Bauchi State, while Pwajok represents Jos south-east constituency in Plateau state.
