DAY 3: NATIONAL POLICE DAY 2026 – FCID ANNEX ALAGBON SENSITISES PUBLIC ON POLICE DUTIES AND SHARES SECURITY TIPS | Blissful Affairs Online
As activities marking the National Police Day 2026 continue, the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, carried out a public sensitisation exercise on the roles and responsibilities of the Nigeria Police Force, aimed at strengthening community partnership and public trust.
During the engagement, officers of the Department interacted with members of the public, enlightening them on the duties of the Police and the importance of community collaboration in crime prevention and effective policing.
As part of the exercise, security awareness fliers containing useful safety tips were distributed to members of the public. The sensitisation also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant, promptly report suspicious activities, and work closely with the Police to enhance safety within their communities.
The exercise further highlighted the vision of the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji R Disu , Psc+ NPM which emphasises professionalism, accountability, and strengthened partnership with the public.
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of FCID Annex, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom psc fdc _mspsp_ MNIM. reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to supporting the mission and vision of the Inspector-General of Police through proactive community engagement and intelligence-driven policing.
The FCID Annex remains dedicated to fostering public confidence and encouraging citizens’ participation in promoting peace, security, and justice.
