The Celebrity Journal Publishers’ Association of Nigeria (CJPAN) in partnership with Sidophobia Fans is commemorating Fuji icon Alhaji Abass Akande’s 60th birthday celebration, scheduled for Tuesday
Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, PK1ST, has built a Mosque to commemorate his 60th birthday
The mosque situated within the Iponri Grammar School premises in Iponri, Lagos was officially opened on Monday, 27th January 2025, a day before his 60th birthday celebrations
According to CJPAN, the project was executed in partnership with Obesere’s official fan base, the Sidophobia Fans Club
According to the project lead, Akanni Basiru Olaniyi, also known as Ola Mother, the mosque’s location holds strategic significance as it represents his effort to give back to Iponri Grammar School, his former institution, where Abass Akande Obesere also studied
Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere PK1ST has explicitly disclosed that, to commemorate his birthday, he intends to give back to the school where his illustrious musical career began, after consulting with the school management who requested the construction of a mosque, which he readily agreed to
Waheed Buruj Salaudeen of the Sidophobia Fans Club, an Obesere fan group, has thanked his fans for their steadfast support during the construction of the mosque
I am grateful to God for the successful completion of the mosque and would like to thank the fans for their support
Meanwhile, the President of Sidophobia Fans Club of Obesere, Olugbenga Benedict Awoyemi, announced that the club opened its mosque on Monday
Abass Akande Obesere PK1ST, born on January 28, 1965, in Ibadan, is originally from Ibadan, Oyo State
The celebrated musician, who launched his music career over 43 years ago, will host the elite of society at his 60th birthday celebration on Tuesday, 28th January 2025, at the Anchor Event Agindingbin Lagos
The renowned musician has organized a series of events to mark the special day, including the release of a new album, the launch of a book, and the establishment of the Sidophobia Foundation, an NGO dedicated to supporting elderly and needy people in society
He will award plots of land to his band members and unveil five newly built houses – two in Lagos and three in Ibadan – in addition to his prior residences, as a gesture of gratitude for their loyalty
Obesere will also present a house to a yet-to-be-named, very special personality as a surprise gift in recognition of their exceptional contribution to his success story.
