‎CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF IGBO MINISTERS (CAIM) WORLDWIDE | Blissful Affairs Online

‎A TRIBUTE TO OUR GREAT GRAND PATRON AND GOSPEL ICON, LATE REV. DR. UMA UKPAI

‎With total submission to the will of God, the Christian Association of Igbo Ministers Worldwide (CAIM) received with great shock the unexpected demise of our highly revered GRAND PATRON, the late REV. DR. UMA UKPAI on 6th October, 2025 at the age of 80 years.

‎ Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, was the Founder and President of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association (UUEA), based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He was a highly anointed global evangelist whose ministry was characterized by massive city-wide evangelistic campaigns resulting in bumper harvest of souls, mind-boggling miracles, healings, revivals, and destruction of the works of the devil against individuals and communities world-wide. Only God can truly quantify the indelible spiritual impacts and the global reach of his great ministry which spanned over six decades.

‎Dr. Uma Ukpai was a Father of Faith and God’s General. His ministry gave birth to the formation of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in 1985 after his Greater Lagos For Christ Crusade which was attended by millions of people. Today, the PFN has about 65 million members in Nigeria and in the Diaspora. He was one of the highly revered founding fathers of the PFN.

‎An alumnus of many divinity schools, he was also a theologian, author, conference speaker, philanthropist and  mentor to many young ministers of the gospel. The vacuum created by his death will be difficult to fill.

‎We have fond memories of our highly esteemed Grand Patron, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai. He was there for us right from the early days of our Association. He honoured our invitations as Guest Speaker in our annual World Igbo Prayer Summit (WIPS) in  Anambra State (2017), and Ebonyi State (2018). He was always available to us for fatherly counsel and spiritual direction.

‎His demise is a huge loss to our Association in particular and the Body of Christ in general. But we are comforted that, like Apostle Paul, he fought a good fight, he finished his course, and he kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness , which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to all his faithful servants (2 Timothy 4: 7 – 8).

‎ May his noble soul rest peacefully in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ who he served fervently and faithfully (1 Thessalonians 4: 13 – 18; Revelation 14: 12 – 13). May God sustain the legacy he left behind.  Adieu, our great Grand Patron and God’s General.

‎On behalf of the International President, Apostle (Dr.) Solomon Chukwuemeka Okorie and the CAIM family worldwide, we express our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Pastor Mrs. Philomena Uma Ukpai, his children, relations, members of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association and all his well-wishers.  May God grant all of us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss until we meet to part no more.

‎For & On Behalf of CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF IGBO MINISTERS WORLDWIDE

‎Apostle (Dr.) Solomon Chukwuemeka Okorie
