Following a successful completion of the Structured Training Programme (STP) for eligible officers for the Y2020 Promotion Exercise, the Lagos State Civil Service Commission has announced the conclusion of arrangements for the Oral Interview segment of the exercise which will run from Monday, March 23 to Thursday, April 16, 2020.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Mrs. Kikelomo Sanyaolu, stated that the exercise, which would be completed within 17 days, is scheduled to kick off with the interviews for staffers in the Public Service Office (PSO), Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, and Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.
The Permanent Secretary, therefore, enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to convene the appropriate Personnel Management Board (PMB) meetings accordingly, emphasising the need to adhere strictly to the approved composition of the PMBs for Management and Senior Staff cadres as specified in the Circular with Ref No: CSC/54S/39 dated 12th February, 2020.
Sanyaolu stated further that in addition to Professional and General Knowledge assessments of candidates, participants in this year’s promotion exercise are advised to familiarise themselves with the contents of the Civil Service Commission Annual Report and Employee Handbooks.
She also urged the Permanent Secretary of each Ministry, Department and Agency (MDA) to forward the minutes and recommendations of the PMB, duly signed by all members of the Board, to the Civil Service Commission not later than five working days after the meeting as late submission of minutes would not be entertained,
