The Lagos State Police Command participated in the just-concluded five-day Election Security Management Training organised by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30, 2026, with facilitation by 3Streams Synergy.

The training brought together personnel predominantly from the Lagos State Police Command, alongside personnel from the FCID Annex Lagos, Zone 2 Headquarters, Special Fraud Unit (SFU) and Special Protection Unit (SPU).

The programme was designed to strengthen officers’ capacity for effective election security management, with discussions covering professionalism, political neutrality, impartiality, respect for human rights, crowd management, inter-agency collaboration and adherence to the rule of law.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, psc, mnips, appreciates the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, for his sustained commitment to capacity development and professional policing, as well as the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for providing this valuable training opportunity.

It remains committed to protecting lives and property, safeguarding the electoral process, and ensuring that all citizens can exercise their democratic rights in a peaceful and secure environment.
