*APPRECIATION: CP FATAI TIJANI’S EXEMPLARY LEADERSHIP IS RESTORING PUBLIC TRUST IN LAGOS POLICE COMMAND* | Blissful Affairs Online

Lagos, Nigeria — The security landscape in Lagos State has witnessed remarkable improvement in recent months, and a great deal of credit goes to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, *CP Fatai Tijani*, whose purposeful leadership and people-first approach are yielding tangible results for residents.
As Publisher of _The Gladiators Magazine_, I have watched closely how the Lagos Police Command under CP Tijani has moved from reaction to prevention. His numerous successes, from intelligence-driven operations that have dismantled criminal networks, to community policing engagements across the 20 LGAs, show a command that is both firm and compassionate.
*What stands out most are three things:*
*1. Zero tolerance for corruption*
CP Tijani has made it clear that misconduct will not be tolerated within the ranks. Officers are being held to higher standards of professionalism, and members of the public now have channels to report abuse without fear. That stance is rebuilding confidence.
*2. Respect for human rights*
In an era where trust between police and citizens is critical, the Command has prioritized lawful arrest procedures, prompt access to legal representation, and humane treatment of suspects. This commitment aligns with modern policing and it is noticeable on the streets of Lagos.
*3. An open door policy in line with the IGP’s vision*
CP Tijani is keying into the *open door policy of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu*, ensuring that traditional rulers, youth leaders, journalists, and civil society groups can access the Command. That accessibility has improved collaboration, faster information sharing, and quicker response times.
Lagos is a complex mega-city. Policing it requires courage, strategy, and empathy. CP Tijani has demonstrated all three.
As media, we at _The Gladiators Magazine_ also use this moment to *call for more media support* for the Lagos Police Command. Positive stories of sacrifice, innovation, and community partnership need to be amplified. When the public understands the work being done, cooperation increases and crime decreases.
We thank CP Fatai Tijani for his service, and we thank IGP Olatunji Disu for providing leadership that encourages transparency and accountability at state level.
Lagos is safer today because men and women in uniform are showing up with integrity. We urge Lagosians to continue to support the police, and we urge the media to tell the full story of this Media friendly crime buster officer per Excellence Because he is a good man
