My Dear People, My Own People,
Today, *19th September 2026*, we do not just mark another anniversary, *we mark 39 years of survival, unity, love and pride far away from home, yet always at home.*
And as we celebrate *AKSCOM Lagos @ 39*, we also prepare to celebrate Akwa Ibom , our Land of Promise, @39 years after her creation on 23rd September 1987.*
I write this not just as the *Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Anietie Ini-edu, anipr*, but as a *son of the soil, whose blood, name and spirit is Akwa Ibom.*
Everywhere I go in this uniform, I carry Akwa Ibom with me. In my voice, in my service, in my discipline. *You can take a son out of Akwa Ibom, but you can never take Akwa Ibom out of the son.* Your prayers have kept me. Your values raised me. And every day, I strive to make you proud.
At this historic moment, I must specially appreciate and celebrate a leader who has become the embodiment of our Akwa Ibom dream. His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.*
To our elders, our mothers, our youths in Lagos who have kept our culture alive for 39 solid years, Abasi sosongo o!* You have shown that though we left the land, the land never left us.
May this anniversary remind us that we are one people, one blood, one promise.
