Media Team Pays Courtesy Visit to AIG Simeon Udofia Akpanudom Over Support for Police Reforms and Media Partnership | Blissful Affairs Online

We paid a special courtesy and appreciation visit to AIG Simeon Udofia Akpanudom in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the ongoing reforms introduced by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, as well as his consistent openness and cordial relationship with the media in his capacity as the Officer in Charge of the Force CID Annex, Lagos.

The visit was aimed at acknowledging his professionalism, accessibility, and unwavering dedication towards promoting a safer and crime-free society through effective policing and collaboration with members of the press.

In his calm and calculated response, the Akwa Ibom-born crime-buster sincerely appreciated Amb. Cornell Udofia and members of the media for their continuous support and extensive coverage of his activities over the years.

He emphasized that the partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the media remains vital in building public trust, enhancing transparency, and strengthening security operations across the country.

AIG Simeon Udofia Akpanudom further pledged his continued commitment to maintaining a cordial relationship with journalists and media practitioners while sustaining efforts geared towards ensuring a safer and crime-free society, especially within the operational jurisdiction of the Force CID Annex, Lagos.

He also assured us of his maximum support whenever called upon and encouraged members of the public and the media to continue supporting the Nigeria Police Force, stressing that security remains a collective responsibility that requires collective partnership and cooperation.

Members of the media crew who accompanied me during the visit included Charles Omebe, younger brother to social media personality VeryDarkMan; Mr. Olumide Alabi of The Sun Newspaper and The Mirror Newspaper; alongside the Force CID Public Relations Officer, ASP Aminat Mayegun, who graciously facilitated the successful meeting.

The visit ended on a warm and positive
note, with fruitful discussions centered on strengthening collaboration between security agencies and the media for the betterment of society.
