CJPAN Members Celebrates Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu @ 60 | Blissful Affairs Online

Members of the Celebrity Journal Publishers Association of Nigeria (CJPAN) in Nigeria and Diaspora led by the president, Mrs. Funmi Olowosegun has expressed well-wishes for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as he mark’s 60th birthday, emphasizing his golden jubilee celebration to his contributions to the development of Lagos State.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who has a strong educational background and a history of public service, is recognized for his transformative impact on Lagos, including advancements in infrastructure and economic growth.

Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR also praised Governor Sanwo-Olu, commending his commitment to the state’s development and urging him to continue focusing on significant projects that benefit Lagosians, wishing the governor good health and longevity as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, the sixth democratically elected governor of Lagos State, was born on June 25, 1965, graduated of the University of Lagos, London Business School, Lagos Business School, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Before his gubernatorial ambition, he was the managing director and CEO of Lagos State Property Development Corporation (LSPDC) and as a three-time Commissioner across key ministries: Economic Planning and Budget; Commerce and Industry; and Establishments, Training, and Pensions..

According to the CJPAN President, “Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has achieved several key milestones that have contributed to the development of Lagos State. Some of his notable achievements include”:

1. Infrastructure Development:
– Completion of significant transportation projects, including the Blue and Red Rail lines, which enhance public transport in the state.
– Ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, aimed at improving connectivity, especially in the Lekki corridor.

2. Economic Growth:
– Initiatives that have led to an increase in the state’s GDP, positioning Lagos as a major economic hub in Nigeria and West Africa.
– Support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to boost local entrepreneurship and job creation.

3. Healthcare Improvement:
– Implementation of health policies and initiatives aimed at improving healthcare services, including the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
– Upgrading and equipping health facilities across the state.

4. Education Reforms:
– Investment in educational infrastructure and the introduction of programs to improve the quality of education in public schools.

5. Environmental Initiatives:
– Launch of programs focused on waste management, sanitation, and environmental sustainability to combat the challenges of urbanization.

6. Social Welfare Programs:
– Development of various social welfare programs aimed at improving the living standards of residents, including youth empowerment initiatives.
