CIS DAVID OLUWOLE ADEBAMBO HOSTS CMC MEDIA GLADIATORS FOR COURTESY VISIT AND AWARD PRESENTATION | Blissful Affairs Online

 

 

CIS David Oluwole Adebambo, Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service, Lagos State command, recently hosted a distinguished delegation comprising notable figures from the media and entertainment industries. The delegation was led by Ambassador Cornel Udofia, Publisher of The Gladiators Magazine and Founder of Kick Against Crime in Our Society.

 

Among the CMC delegates were Lady Adaobi Enekwa, Publisher of Blissful Affairs Magazine, movie producer, and convener of the Blissful Affairs Awards for Excellence; Queen Campbell, veteran music icon and member of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN); Oluchi Millicent Okafor, Chief Welfare Officer of the CMC Gladiators Group and a Real estate Broker, Dr. Champion Onyekwelu, renowned news analyst featured on Rave TV, STV, MITV, and Chief Anchor at CMC Events; Gbenga Nelson, CEO of Dutch TV Online and former Chief Reporter at NTA 2 Channel 5; and Friday Elechukwu, reporter with Lagos Television (LTV).

The courtesy visit featured the formal presentation of an award to CIS D.O Adebambo in recognition of his outstanding achievements, steadfast professionalism, and unwavering commitment to upholding human rights and promoting excellence in the Nigeria Immigration Service.

 

 

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Ambassador Udofia commended AIG Ochalla for his exemplary service and commendable track record both within Nigeria and beyond. He described him as a beacon of integrity and a true role model in law enforcement.

 

He noted that the purpose of the visit was to express support for his efforts in the fight against crime, to promote the good image of the Immigration Service and to strengthen national security under his leadership at NIS Lagos State command. He also praised his zero-tolerance stance on corruption and his dedication to maintaining a high standard of integrity, in line with the vision of the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Abuja.

In addition, the delegation formally introduced their magazine, entertainment, and security platforms to CIS Adebambo, with the aim of establishing a mutually beneficial working relationship. The team also took the opportunity to recognize
Comptroller of Immigration Service (Rtd) Abdulateef Adoga Elelu, a friend of CIS David Oluwole Adebambo who was decorated with a medal of honour for his meritorious services during his active years.

They were rewarded for their hard work, professionalism, and dedication within the Nigeria Immigration Service.

In his response, CIS Adebambo expressed heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Udofia and the entire CMC delegation for the honour. He acknowledged the vital role of the media in crime prevention and law enforcement, emphasizing the importance of sustained collaboration between the Nigeria Immigration Service and media professionals. She encouraged the group to continue their advocacy and pledged his support for joint efforts aimed at achieving lasting, positive change in Nigeria.

It’s worthy to note that CIS David Adebambo has spent over 32 years in the Nigeria Immigration service and will retire this June, 2025.

CIS D.O. Adebambo took out time to appreciate and celebrate the
Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Kemi Nanna Nandap. He thanked her for giving him the opportunity to serve in the capacity as the Comptroller of Immigration service, Lagos State.

Comptroller General (NIS) Kemi Nanna Nandap was appointed by President Tinubu on March 1, 2024. Her tenure was extended through December 31, 2026. Mrs. Nandap’s career in the NIS began on October 9, 1989.

 

The Nigeria Immigration Service is responsible for border control, managing migration, and ensuring national security.
