Esteemed Church Members, Faithful Believers, and Our Cherished Brothers and Sisters.
Grace, peace, mercy, and abundant blessings be multiplied unto you as we joyfully welcome you into the New Year 2026, divinely proclaimed as **OUR YEAR OF GREAT MERCIES.**
With hearts full of gratitude to Almighty God, the Sustainer of life and the Governor of nations, I extend my warm New Year greetings to you, your families, and loved ones. We thank God for His preserving power throughout the past year and for ushering us into a new season of hope, restoration, and great mercies – Our Year of *GREAT MERCIES*
As we step into 2026, we do so in faith and confidence that the **GREAT MERCIES** of God shall speak for us individually, and collectively, as a nation. In this year, mercy shall triumph over judgment, heal our wounds, restore what has been lost, and open doors that have long been shut. May the mercy of God rewrite every negative narratives in our lives, our communities, and our nation in the precious name of our saviour Jesus Christ.
**United Prayers and Blessings for the People and the Nation**
In this Year of **GREAT MERCIES**, we lift our voices together—over our lives, our families, and our beloved nation—seeking the face of the Almighty God. May the mercy of God that preserves life rest upon every household and keep us from harm and untimely death in the name of Jesus Christ
May His mercy bring peace to our homes, our places of worship, and our communities. May the mercy that heals, restores the sick, comfort the bereaved, strengthen the weary, and grant renewed hope to the discouraged in the name of Jesus Christ.
We earnestly pray for our nation in the face of the painful challenges confronting us, especially insecurity, kidnapping, banditry, and all forms of violence. By the **GREAT MERCIES** of God, I pray and prophecy that there shall be total and permanent end to these evils in the name of Jesus Christ. I further pray that the Almighty God shall expose, uproot, and dismantle every force of terror and lawlessness troubling our nation, Nigeria in the name of Jessu Christ. Peace shall replace fear; safety shall replace uncertainty; and justice shall replace oppression across the length and breadth of our nation.
May God, in His mercy, grant wisdom, courage, and integrity to our leaders, security agencies, and all those entrusted with authority. May policies that promote peace, unity, and the wellbeing of the people prevail. May our nation experience healing, stability, and divine restoration.
We also pray that the mercy of God will uplift our youths, guide our elders with wisdom, and cause our children to grow in knowledge, character, and favor before God and humanity. May the mercy that elevate lift families out of poverty, bring meaningful opportunities, and bless the work of our hands throughout this year.
**A Call to Love, Unity, and Peaceful Coexistence**
As people of faith—Christians and Muslims alike—I call on us all to walk in love, unity, and mutual respect, strengthening the bonds of peaceful coexistence. Let us be ambassadors of peace, vessels of mercy, and instruments of hope in our generation.
As we journey through 2026, may the **GREAT MERCIES** of God speak louder than every challenge, shine brighter than every darkness, and abide with us all the days of our lives.
