Zamfara declares five work-free days for voter registration

Governor Matawalle of the state of Zamfara has declared June 20th through June 24th, 2022 a work-free week to allow state public and civil personnel to register and receive their Permanent Voter Cards.

This was contained in a statement made accessible to journalists on Saturday by the Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara.

The commissioner said, “By this announcement, all Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, other public office holders, party officials, and traditional rulers are hereby directed to monitor and supervise the ongoing Voter Registration exercise”.

“This is to ensure that all eligible voters within their wards and local governments register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards to enable them exercise their fundamental rights and civic responsibilities”.Matawalle
