Amb. Dr. Julius Oyedemi Managing Director of PWAN Plus, the parent company of PWAN Homes. The company has been in business of providing shelters for Nigerians and to the glory of God, it has been a successful five years. In this interview with Blissful Affairs, he spoke vividly about the establishment of PWAN Group and the glorious survival of the company till date. He also spoke on his birthday and other sundry issues, Excerpts:
Q: Can you please tell us more about yourself?
A:
A:I am simply known as Dr. Julius Oyedemi the MD/CEO of PWAN Plus, a very foremost indigenous real estate company. Our reason for being in this business is to deliver housing and shelter for Nigerians.
Q: Sir, how did you come about the idea of establishing PWAN Plus Properties?
A: PWAN Plus was formed sometimes around the year 2017, when we saw the need for an expansion to the mother company, PWAN and this is also to compliment what PWAN HOMES is doing and we thank God that it has been an interesting journey for us.
Q: Can you share with us where you worked before setting up PWAN Homes?
A: Actually, l have worked with two media sectors before delving into real estate. I have been in the media for seven years and also automobile where l worked with KIA Motors. So, as at that time, l was looking for a place for expression and you know there is this thing that says, it is better for you to work where you can express yourself and l was also looking for a platform where l can display the God’s gift in me and that is why l decided to delve into real estate.
Q: Can you share the story of PWAN Homes with us?
A: Actually, PWAN Plus is the umbrella name and the major company while “CEDARWOOD” is the marketing company. So, we have PWAN Homes as our real estate arm. It’s like when you have a name and a pet name but people tend to identify you with your pet name. But, all the same the journey has been amazing, the company was birthed in 2017 and amazingly with so much innovations and creativities, the company has been able to hold its stance on both the Nigeria and international property market and we are grateful to God for the achievement of this year. The fact is that then we believe that we will stand tall and today, we are standing tall.
Q: So, in the last five years, what are the challenges the company has faced?
A: It will be unfair to say there is no challenges. Even after now, there are still challenges and they are several. One, from the indigenes, the government and that has to do with the policies which are very threatening and also, we have the customer aspect of it but we make sure that we turn the challenges to success. Q: How does PWAN keep its reputation with customers?A: Anyway, what l will say is that anybody that comes to this company will be happy dealing with us.
Q: How affordable are your properties at PWAN Plus?
A: Thank you so much. Our properties are very extremely affordable, our prices are for every class, both the rich, the middle and the average.
Q: Can you tell us the of your products?
A: We have a lot and one of them is “CEDARWOOD CLASSIC”. We formed this for royalty because we believe that you can’t be a king and you will be disrespected. So, you can’t be in Cedarwood Luxury and you will be behaving any how.
Q: How do you think the government should be involved in real estate?
A: What I think is that the government should play an advisory role. They should introduce good policies that are favourable to every business persons.
Q: What can you say about Real Estate?
A: All l can say is that Real Estate is a very skillful industry and if you are not perfectly trained, then don’t near it. Practice make perfect, so if any Youth or anybody wants to indulge in real estates, you need to attend the school of real estate because it is not a computer which you can press and do garbage in, garbage out. Real Estate is an aspect that even some government cannot pilot it. Real estate is something that needs your emotional skills and analytical skill even your diplomatic skills and others. In real estates, it is either you are doing crewed business or real business because you are dealing with a lot of people. A real estate developer is like a medical doctor who is always in the theatre. Two things happen in the theatre, it’s either one survives or one dies. Real estates is an industry that you have to be extremely drilled and prepared. You must be trust worthy to be a successful Real Estate practitioner.
