The Ongoing Road Rehabilitation In The Market Is Part Of Gov. Otti’s Commitment To Fulfill Campaign Promises In Abia State….Commissioner

Traders in the State have been reassured of government’s readiness to provide enabling environment for ease of doing business.

The Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu who gave the assurance during a working visit to Ohiya Nsukwe Umuogo Industrial Cluster, stressed that the government of Dr Alex Otti is a government for all irrespective of party or State and disclosed that the vision of the Governor is to alleviate the pains and sufferings Abians are facing.

Dr Ukaegbu, who stated that government is poised to fulfill her campaign promises and is interested in the welfare of the traders stated that palliative road maintenance by the State government is on going in the market and pleaded with the traders to be patient with the government as government will work assiduously to ameliorate their sufferings. He advised them to always pay their revenue to the State government so as to increase the IGR of the State which would help government to develop and fix their market and that State at large.

Dr Ukaegbu assured them that government would look into their challenges which include bad roads, absence of electricity among others and urged them to continue to work as a team with the market executives and be law abiding.

In his speech earlier, the chairman, Ohiya Nsukwe Umuogo Industrial Cluster, Mr Ifeanyi Orji thanked the Commissioner for the visit which he described as timely and pleaded with government to help them in alleviating the sufferings traders are facing in the market, especially bad roads and power supply. He explained that all areas of the market including the women and youth are all organized and are working in harmony to maintain peace and order in the market.

In a vote of thanks, Mr Ifeanyi Chukwuebuka , thanked the Commissioner for coming to have a feel of their pains, and assured him of their total support and loyalty to the administration of Dr Alex Otti.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the Director of Commerce, Elder Mecha Udonsi and some staff of the Ministry.
