SEXUAL VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH: LAGOS ATTORNEY-GENERAL RECEIVES DSVA CAMPAIGN TEAM
Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), on Monday, received the State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) Campaign team during its visit to the Ministry of Justice as part of the Agency’s activities to commemorate the month-long awareness campaign themed: “IT’S ON US” and #TurnAlausaPurple
Welcoming the team to the Ministry, the Commissioner for Justice, who is also the Chairman of the Agency, commended the Executive Secretary of DSVA, Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi and her team for spreading the message through various campaigns and sensitisation to all nooks and crannies of the State.
Onigbanjo stressed that the theme of the advocacy is apt based on the compelling need to ensure that residents of the State realise that eradicating the menace of Sexual and Gender-based Violence is a collective effort by all and sundry in the society.
Urging the team to vigorously continue to spread the “IT’S ON US” message, he reiterated that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration is determined to curb the menace of domestic and sexual violence across the State as well as prosecute offenders accordingly.
