The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Solomon Bonu has acknowledged the transformational strides of the Paramount Ruler of Iworo Town in Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the State, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oladele Friday Kosoko, Ogundeyi II, Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom.

Bonu described the Royal Father as the “Architect of a Modern Iworo” and a pacesetter who has brought noticeable development to the ancient town within the last three years of his enthronement.

The Special Adviser gave the commendation on Saturday, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of Oniworo of Iworo Kingdom, interacted with the Royal Father, Chiefs and some Principal Officers and inspected some ongoing projects in the town.

He said “I want to commend our Monarch for his laudable achievements, doggedness, vision, commitment and leadership style which has reflected in the community. I can see that work is ongoing at the Central Palace as well as other self-initiated projects by members of the community. This is a confirmation that when an intellectually sound person is in the position of leadership you will see massive change and development”.

While inspecting some of the ongoing projects in Iworo, particularly the Zonal Model College, Iworo (FGN/SOUTHWEST ZONE), the Special Adviser revealed that when completed and commissioned, it would further expose Iworo community to the whole world and endear the town to more investment opportunities.

The Federal Government project, among several others, according to Bonu, are a major boost for the community in terms of development and economic viability of the town.

Responding, Oba Kosoko, who facilitated the Federal Government Model College project in the town, listed some of his achievements in the last three years, including the Establishment of Tomato Farming in one of the communities.

The Royal Father also informed that, as part of his efforts to attract more development to the town, he has earmarked some plots of land to the State Government for construction of the “Proposed Iworo Jetty and Fish Market”.
