Remi Tinubu: Our family does not depend on Nigeria’s wealth to survive

Remi Tinubu, the wife of the President-elect, has reassured Nigerians that her family is not reliant on the nation’s wealth to sustain themselves, as they have been blessed by God. She made this statement during an interdenominational church service held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.

Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that the wealth of the country belongs to all Nigerians and should be used for the right purposes. She urged the nation to pray for her family, as they would require God’s grace to meet the expectations of the people.

As the outgoing senator representing Lagos Central in the National Assembly, Tinubu stated, “Nigeria’s wealth is the collective property of all its citizens. It does not determine our survival. Instead, it should be utilized for the greater good. I assure you, with your assistance and the help of God, we will lead this nation on the right path.”

In addition, she noted that she would be one of Nigeria’s oldest first ladies at the age of 63, with her husband being 71. Tinubu expressed the need for divine grace and the cooperation of everyone to fulfill the aspirations of Nigerians.

Reflecting on the recent democratic transition, she expressed gratitude to God, saying, “The primary election results, with a vote count of 1,271, served as a confirmation of God’s presence. Witnessing the seventh consecutive democratic transition in Nigeria humbles me and signifies a time of perfection for our country.”

Prominent individuals such as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon, Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr. Boss Mustapha, and senator-elect Godswill Akpabio, among other dignitaries, attended the church service.
