P.J. RECORDS BUILT FOR HUMANITY’S

In this piece editor-in-chief, Jane osamor of fabulous international magazine speaks along a cross section of the Lagos press corp to Bishop Joseph Ighalo Edoro, of Touch From Heaven miministries, a philanthropist and a lover of services to God and humanity, who was the chief launcher of prophetess Bola Ige’s musical album launch and the celebration of her 40th anniversary on altar and a promoter at P.J. Records espouse the company’ s contributions to the field of music in the entertainment industry viz-a-viz.

may we get to meet with you sir?
Bishop Joseph Edoro Ighalo, founder and CEO of Touch From Heaven Ministries, and Chairman PJ Records.

Good day sir, we are here at the launching of an album titled Oba Ni, you been the record producer and the chief launcher, what can you tell us about today’s event?
I feel good at least it’s a huge contribution and success also to the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ, evangelising the gospel of truth through music, it is analysing the gospel and that is why I feel good about it though it has worth a fortune but it is a good thing as whenever they hear it in whatever medium at least the gospels is begins spread in the process.

What really influences you to want to Partner with a gospel artist especially a Yoruba speaking gospel artist?
Yorubas are very good when it comes to gospel songs, they go deep down in praises God and basically l enjoy that part you know and we should continue to spread it. In contemporary gospel music song in yorubas is almost the traditional yorubas song and basically that is now being eroded now with contemporary after kinds of music to make sure that we do hold on to our culture and then the music of yesteryear this one is high life.

You said that you are supporting a Christian gospel artist, outside there their are several people that do not have this types of opportunities, what do you say towards this?
As long as they want to use it, as many as wants it I mean want to record and no help coming for you, I have a studio and my studio is free, my only job is to get the producer and then I will do the other jobs, anybody that wants to come in let them come. If you know that you have the talents just come, I have a studio and I use it for the betterment of humanity, so it is free this one I am doing now is not for money, so whoever wish to come to showcase their talenrs at anytime is allowed because most people are suffering, they cannot even afford to go to the studio for session. But here we are as we do have a very good musical studio and it is very free, so let everybody come if they want to produce no money come.

P.J. records is this the first collaboration that you have done?
No; it is not the first as we did the last album before my late friend dead, Ras Kimonos, P.J. Records worked with him and we had already printed and did everything and he passed on it is a super hit but we are bringing it out again very soon.

Sir, your words of advice to the up coming artistes in Nigeria?
a lots of our up coming artistes are suffering as they do not have money for sessions and they are hugely talented. They should not be discouraged in any way they should look out for places like our own place where they can come to and have things done for them basically free of charge and then you never can tell, which one of them will make waves at least they will make their contribution also, so we are their.

Will you say that the Nigerian government is trying to encourage the entertainment industry?
HOW? The entertainment industry is the one that is encouraging the government so let’s us just leave it at that

I will like you to give a word of advice to prophetess Bola Ige, as par the success of today’s album launch is involved?
Bola Ige is happy, she has a whole lot of songs and she is one of those old artistes of that time but right now we are trying to bring her back into the mainstream of gospel music to at least compete with others and be fulfilled. She is good, listen to the song.

What are some of our men of God doing as supporting the music industry?
I know some men of God that are doing something but action like this as this basically for humanity we need much more for the people so we can give hope that thing can be done to save the people more. Our youth’s needs help let’s bring them out of the street by signing them into records labels, music is the in thing for them. Thanks you.

*PROPHETESS BOLA IGE CLOCKS 40 YEARS ON MINISTRY’S*

In this piece, the editor-in-chief of Fabulous international magazine; Jane osamor speaks directly to niece of deceased Nigeria attorney general and Minister of defense Chief Bole Ige who ironically bears same name as the prophetess, she was able to break the ceiling in gospel music, the role of p.j records.

Congratulations madam, tell us your name as we like to get to know you?
I’m Senior prophetess Bola Ige, a Ministry of God and a gospel artist.

What are you doing here today?
Today I’m celebrating my 40th years of my calling to the altar of the almighty God as a prophetess and also launching my new album, being a gospell artist for more than three decade’s to God be all the glory.

What is the meaning of your album titled ‘*OBA NI*”?
Oba Ni as a title came to me due to I was inspired as a result of my own personal experience as a human being. I went through hell but God decided to intervene by pulling me out as I was already in *The grave* .
It’s only the king that has that power to pull somebody out of death, out of the pit of this world. That’s the reason I titled the album “*OBA NI”

What do you have to say to the almighty God that gave you this privilege to be able to celebrate a whole 40th anniversary on the altar and an album launch at the same time?
I will never in my life take God for granted as he has done exceedingly great things in my life. He has done alot to pull me out from the devil, as I was born and raised as a prophetess.
My parents and siblings and other family members were always watching over me as they were always quick to remind me that I’m a prophetess, hence I should been mindful and keep me on line with my calling as prophetess to be watchful what I say or do.

How long did it take you to put this album together?
My promoter (P.J Records) just called me up one day and said I should come to his studio and sing but I told them that I’ll come back to the studio they should let me go home first but he insisted I should come and so, today the rest is history.

How long have you been singing?
I’ve been a gospel artist for the past 31yrs now and that will be by November 2024.

What do you have to say to *P.J Records*?
I’m always short of words, I’ve never seen a man like P.J , I don’t call him P.J I call him *Papa* because I came to know him the moment I was deading. He told me I’m a great woman and he wants to know more about me, he told me to come to his office, I did and then he Introduced me to his staff’s, few days later he came to my house Introduced him to my daughter and he loves my entire family members, I also introduced him to my father-in-the-lord and the rest is history.

How do you compose your music, or they just come like that by the spirit or you just write?
Is divine as I don’t compose songs, I don’t even know how they compose songs, I do however receive from God, so when a message come from heaven usually they could be playing the instrument about the same time, so I get my phone and record while it comes.

Congratulations ma.
Thank you

Where are you from? I’m from Osun state, Obo Ilesha axis to be precise . I’m a niece to the late Bola Ige now of blessed and affectionate memories.
