He has always being a very formidable force to reckon with, a strong pillar so strong to push aside and an outstanding fighter for the bullied and intimidated members of the Nigerian state.
He is no one else than the indomitable political colosus, Adams Aliu Oshiomole.
Since his days as the National President of the Nigerian Labour Council (NLC), Oshiomole has always put his reputation, dignity, integrity and above all, life at risk fighting for the cause of the Nigerian poor masses. Oshiomole engaged in vigorous fights against cheaters of the Nigerian worker most especially, government at all levels. Oshiomole is a hard fighter and someone who coerced quite a lot of employers to be more effective and proactive in the area of staff welfare.
His fierce battle against many organization both public and private are legendary and highly commendable. Many workers today, owe their improved wages and enhanced working conditions to the selfless and magnanimous struggles of the former Edo State governor.
As the number one citizen of Edo State, Oshiomole left long standing legacies too visible to be ignored.
As governor, he embarked on massive construction of roads, rehabilitation and building of schools, provision of potable water, health facilities and provision of employment to over 25,000 persons, among others.
His achievements in the state propelled his successor to capitalize on them and steer the state further.
Commonly called the Comrade Governor during his state administrative days, Adams Aliu Oshiomole diligently served the All Progressives Congress (APC) as National Chairman by promoting unity, understanding and loyalty among party members. Recall that in virtually all political campaigns of the party, Oshiomole spoke more and better than the party’s spokesperson. He regularly unleashed his oratory prowess to communicate audibly to the people.
For decades, Oshiomole has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that posterity, progressiveness, astuteness, providence and absolute reliability are sterling qualities a leader must possess. He is a magnanimous fighter for people’s freedom from modern day slavery and maladministration.
He is a true leader who transformed the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), an extremely transparent administrator who left a flabbergasting legacy at Edo State government house and a remarkable leader who epitomized the change mantra of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as national chairman. He is very a courageous and goal getting politician who knows where it pinches the masses. An epitome of simplicity, Oshiomole’s flair for comradeship usually reflects in his mode of dressing, always spotting what is popularly called ‘khaki jacket’, signifying his always battle- readiness for work and not political gimmicks. He is a symbol of unity, an actualizer of party progress, a leaving light for human emancipation and a thorough-bred administrator who sincerely believes in objectivity at all levels.
He is known to be a campaigner for true democracy and optimum political values for leaders in order to attract more developmental projects and achievements into all communities in Nigeria. Oshiomole is an ambassador of genuine progressiveness in all ramifications as long as it impacts directly into the people. His foray into life’s struggles has been awesome though challenging as he had to weather the storms to achieve stardom, fame, integrity, dignity in all his doings.
He upheld the flag of the APC to the delight and amazement of party faithfuls and critics respectively. He also used his exalted position to alleviate the lives of his people. Back home in Edo State, Oshiomole empowered abd created job opportunities for quite a large number of youths in the state. He is a benefactor to many helpless orphans, widows and the impoverished. He paid school fees for indigent students and developed information technology hubs for youths to learn and earn.
Adams Oshiomole is an energetic man who has paid his dues as far as positive governance is concerned.
Today, Adams Oshiomole is an indefatigable politician, an unshakable leader who is always ready to hearken to the plight of the people.
