Prominent Lagos monarch, Elegushi
of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Elegushi has commiserated with the family of Late Justice Isiaka Ishola
Oluwa and entire Lagosians, on the passing of the eminent jurist, describing him as one of the illustrious sons of Lagos.
In a condolence message signed by Elegushi’s media aide, Tope Oyefeso, he quoted the monarch as saying Justice Ishola Oluwa dedicated his entire life to the good of Lagos and Lagosians. He was passionate about Lagos and devoted all his life to the service of the people, most notably in the area of Law and Order, where he was a legal giant, rising to the peak as a Judge of the State High Court, where he presided over some landmark cases.
He added that the elder statesman was also visible on the Lagos social scene, where he contributed meritoriously to the socio-economic development of the city of Lagos.
“He loved Lagos. He fought for Lagos. He was a great custodian of the history of Lagos, which he always shared at our various interactions. He will be greatly missed”, the monarch stated.
While praying for the repose of his soul, Oba Elegushi enjoined the family to be comforted by his long and worthy life, characterised by his love for God and humanity.
