MINISTRY OF ESTABLISHMENTS ORGANISES KNOWLEDGE-SHARING SESSIONS FOR STAFF

As part of the innovative ways of empowering members of staff and making them more efficient at work, the Lagos State Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions, has initiated a special in-house programme called ‘Knowledge-Sharing Sessions’ for all staff.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Abiodun Onayele, spoke during this week’s edition, admonishing the staff to maximise the benefit of the programme and stressing that the programme is unique and peculiar to the Ministry as others have not had the opportunity of hosting a similar programme for their staff.

He said, since the commencement of the programme a month ago, most members of staff have benefitted immensely from the initiative because of its value-laden qualities, adding that topics that featured transcend health, professional, social and economic spheres.

Welcoming members of staff to the week’s edition of the early morning breakfast programme, the Director of Training Mrs. Lolade Aina, stated the programme started as a departmental initiative and grew bigger to accommodate all the staff of the Ministry.

To underscore the significance and benefit of the programme, Aina expressed confidence that other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) would likely want to have the programme replicated in their domain as soon as they get wind of it.

The programme, which started in September 2021, was designed as a weekly interactive session for staff of the Ministry irrespective of cadre.
