Man ‘O’ War Lagos Commander, Engr. Lucky Onimowo, Warns Youth Against Crimes

Man ‘ O’ War Lagos commander, Engr. Lucky Onimowo, has warned the Nigerian youths to desist from committing crimes.

He said in a statement that “if the youths of a country are bad, then the country will be bad; “if the youths are lazy, it will definitely affect the nation.” He added that though money is good, the youths should work hard to get money.

Onimowo said this during an interview session with our team in his Lagos office last week.

According to him, youths who are not privileged to go to school should be able to learn hand works.
He said, in spite of the fact that he’s a graduate, he also seized every opportunity to learn some handiworks when he was a youth.

“I learnt more than three handworks even as a graduate,” he said, adding that his childhood’s ambition was to be a pilot but his parents told him to become an auto mechanic based on personal reason.

“Eventually, when my mother stood by me, I studied a science course in the university and became an engineer. Today, I’m registered with COREN, Nigeria Society of Engineers and I’m also a project manager.

Speaking on what Man O’ War stands for and the input of the organization to the nation’s growth, Onimowo revealed that it’s a voluntary organization and not a payable job but the police inspector general, soldiers, navy and youth corpers do pass through their trainings. He added that some top government officials also pass through their leadership trainings.

Talking about how Man O’ War generates funds to run the organization, the Lagos State commander said, “it’s God that’s sustaining the organization, with supports from some individuals and most especially their patron who is always there for us. He then pleaded for the government’s full support especially regarding the salary structure just like other Nigerian force, because they are also in the government gazette.

Engr. Lucky Onimowo is a native of Igarra Akoko- Edo, in Edo State, he also speaks multi languages
