LAISA COMMENCES DELIVERY OF FISH FEEDS TO A.P.P.E.A.L.S BENEFICIARIES, FARMERS

The General Manager, Lagos State Agricultural Input Supply Authority (LAISA), Mr. Bolaji Balogun, has reiterated the commitment of the agency to sustaining the provision of support to farmers as part of efforts to boost food production in the State.

Balogun spoke during the distribution of 1,529 fish feeds to Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Support (APPEALS) beneficiaries and fish farmers across the State, stressing that the agency has remained at the forefront of supplying farmers in Lagos State with high-quality agricultural inputs at affordable prices.

He emphasised that the fish feeds will be delivered directly to the beneficiaries and farmers in Agbowa-Ikosi, Aselo, Ikorodu, Ifako-Ijaye, Ijedodo, Ijegun-Ikotun, Iyana-Ipaja, Ayobo-Ipaja, Aboru, Mangoro, Ikeja and Ajegunle-Ilo at zero cost to the APPEALS beneficiaries and fish farmers.

The General Manager averred that the State Government, through LAISA, has established eight farm centres in different parts of the State to give farmers easy access to quality agricultural inputs at affordable prices.

Noting that the agency remains a one-stop centre for agricultural inputs for farmers, Balogun appreciated the State Ministry of Agriculture for supporting the agency to provide qualitative service to farmers.

Recall that the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Support (APPEALS), is a World Bank assisted project, implemented through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in six participating States, including Lagos.
