LAGOS PUBLIC SERVICE HOLDS JOINT NEGOTIATING COUNCIL MEETING ON DECEMBER 7
The meeting of the Lagos State Joint up, in Lagos.
According to a release signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Office of Establishments and Training, Mr. Dele Balogun, the meeting is designed to serve as an interface between government and public service trade unions in order to examine critical matters bordering on staff welfare and conditions of service of in the State Public Service.
The Director added that the meeting is bi-annual and coming on the heels of the election of new executives of the Joint Negotiating Council and Trade union Congress.
“The forum will also provide an opportunity for the representatives of workers and government to interact and formally exchange ideas on some issues generally affecting the growth and development of the public service and particularly the well-being of the entire workforce”, he added.
Balogun further stated that the meeting will also examine existing and emerging issues, review agreements at previous negotiations and reach concrete resolutions in the overall interest of the State.
