Lagos NUJ Chairman Akinreti To Address Global Journalists Forum On Media And Economic Dynamics|Blissful Affairs Online

Dr Qasim Akinreti, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, Lagos State Council will on Saturday June 6, 2020 address global migration journalists under the umbrella of the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) with over 200 journalists apart from other volunteers spread across the globe.

The Mass Communication doctorate degree holder from the prestigious Babcock University and serial international award winner is to deliver a keynote address on Governance, Media and Economic Dynamics on Migration

Also participating in the two-day event holding between June 5 and 6, 2020 on zoom are Catholic priest and herbal practitioner of over 25 years, Reverend Father Anslem Adodo, Chairman of Morocco Migration Journalist Network, Salaheddine Lemaizi and other reputable speakers are billed to speak an international virtual migration summit on June 5 and 6, 2020.

The summit is the second session of the Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) on zoom slated for June 5 and 6, 2020 starting from 11 am daily.

Speakers are expected from the Migrant Project, Nigeria Immigration Service, Ghana Immigration Service, National Agency for prohibition of Trafficking In Persons (NAPTIP) and international media trainer from Tunisia.

The first session of the summit titled Migration: Remedies for Covid-19 and the economy was held between May 28 and 30, 2020.

According to the President of JIFORM, Ajibola Abayomi, the event was aimed at updating knowledge of over 200 journalists spread across the continents apart from other volunteers focusing on migration issues.

He said the foundation which held its first international migration summit in Abuja in 2019 with participation from several agencies had subsequently organisied three additional conferences apart from featuring in a global migration summit in Tunisia in 2019 was keen to keep its members inform on dynamics of migration and happening across the globe.

“We cannot pretend not to know that Covid-19 has changed our world, in so doing we are eager to appraise the possible remedies for the rampaging disease and the economy both from migration and other perspectives”.
