KOSOFE MODEL CITY PLAN: CONSULTANT SEEKS COOPERATION OF STAKEHOLDERS
As part of the ongoing preparations for the Kosofe Model City Plan, the project handler, Urban Planning Smart Solutions, has called for inputs and cooperation from stakeholders in and around Kosofe Local Government Area.

Speaking during the Co-Design Envisioning Workshop for the Kosofe Model City plan (2020-2040) held recently in Magodo, the Project Director and MD/CEO, Urban Planning Smart Solutions, Tpl. Ayo Adediran, explained that the purpose of the workshop was to intimate the stakeholders with findings of the already completed phase one of the projects.
Adediran said that the Model City Plan was a proposed design to transform Kosofe into a major growth pole that would serve Lagos State by guiding its development for future generations.
He mentioned that the Plan would ultimately transform the area for the economic benefit of residents in particular and the State in general, noting the development plans and the preparation of the Model City Plan would help in planning and harnessing the limited landmass in the area for socio-economic development.
The Special Adviser on Lands and Physical Planning, Dr. Olajide Babatunde, called on all stakeholders to cooperate with the State Government and the project handler to generate an enduring development plan for the area.
He emphasised that the Model City Plan would be comprehensive, sustainable and would be based on the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the Lagos State Government.
