…. Implore the Acting Executive Chairman not to relent
In a bid to strengthen traditional Institutions towards effective grassroot development, the Acting Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (UAH) had on Sunday met with the traditional chiefs (Baales) of the Local Government at Chief Olufemi Ajayi (Chairman, Council of Baales’) residence in Ifako-Ijaiye.
The Traditional Chiefs (BAALE’S) in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government at the meeting appraised the recent tune of activities in the Local Government, and commended the Acting Executive Chairman, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (UAH) for creating lots of impacts within the span of 8-Weeks.
*Speaking on behalf of all the Traditional Chiefs, Chief Olufemi Ajayi (Chairman, Council of Baale’s) who also doubles as the Baale of Ifako Arogangan, noted that all the Traditional Chiefs were astonished and highly surprised that the Local Government could achieve such great feats of development within just 8-Weeks.*
*_He referred to grassroot initiatives executed by Prince Usman (Acting Executive Chairman) within the short period; the recent Scholarships for indigent students, Issuance of Bursary to students, Improved welfare package for the civil servants, active grassroot engagement, Donation of Entrepreneurial Kits/Tools worth millions of Naira to beneficiaries, Donation of Cash support worth millions of Naira to Petty Traders, Completion of some road Projects, Presentation of Official vehicles to Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers amongst others._*
The Acting Executive Chairman was also commended for the visit which was termed *”uncommon”* in recent times.
The Baale further said he and other traditional Chiefs in Ifako-Ijaiye will give their utmost support to the Acting Executive Chairman towards repositioning the Local Government for greater heights.
While addressing the “Council of Baale’s”, the Local Government Boss, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat (UAH), sought for the support and prayers of the traditional chiefs.
He disclosed that Ifako-Ijaiye LGA’s importance to Lagos State could not be over-emphasized especially being a boundary Local Government.
“`The Acting Executive Chairman also implored the traditional chiefs to join in his vision to project Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area to an enviable status amongst the comity of LGA/LCDA’s in the center of excellence.“`
He emphasized on team work and further called for the cooperation and understanding of all and sundry especially on improving grassroot initiatives across the Local Government Area.
