Abia State Government Set To Supply Security Operational Shoes To The Nigeria Police Force.

Abia State Government is to commence the supply of quality Made in Aba operational security shoes to the Nigerian Police.
This marketing initiative was driven by the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu during his visit to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun on the occasion of Abia Day Celebration on the 6th of October at the just concluded 18th Abuja International Trade Fair

The Inspector General of Police, after inspecting the Made in Aba products presented to him by the Abia State Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry accompanied by the State commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu, said aside from providing the secure and safe environment for genuine businesses to thrive, the Nigeria Police Force is also ready to partner with our local manufacturers towards developing the economy and strengthening our currency through local patronage.

He stressed the need for Nigerians to patronize locally made products, thereby generating employment which invariably reduces crime and criminality.

The IGP who rated the quality of Made in Aba Shoes as very ‘high standard’, immediately directed the Force Quarter Master, CP Aliyu Sadiq to meet with the Abia State Trade delegation for the fulfillment of all necessary requirements and documentation.

Earlier, in his remark, the Abia State Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry reminded the IGP that Abia known as Home for Trade & SMEs is poised, under the new Government of Dr. Alex Otti, to reposition for sustainable economic growth.
Prior to the marketing visit to the Inspector General of Police at Louis Edet House, Dr. Ukaegbu played host to some dignitaries at the venue of the Abuja International Trade Fair along Airport, among the special guests include; Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, Abia state Deputy Governor; Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Abia South Senate; Hon. Obi Aguocha, House of Rep. Member; Hon. Munachim Alozie, Member House of Rep. ; Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu; Special Assistant to Abia State Governor on Trade, Commerce and Industry, Chief Nwaka Inem, Investors, exhibitors, traders and others
